Kathmandu, Sept 1 (ANI): Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda has said restoring peace, economic development and formulation of a new Constitution are the main challenges for the new government. Speaking at an economic summit on 'Double Digit Growth: A National Commitment' organized by Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) here on Sunday, Prachanda said, "We are committed to bring the peace process to a logical conclusion within six months and the new Constitution will have to be drafted in two years, then we will concentrate on economic development." "The new constitution will be a document against feudalism," he added. Prachanda said the Maoists Government was committed to made efforts to spur economic growth. He said there was need for equal private and public sector involvement in economic development. "We have no dearth of resources, what we need are vision and planning for investment. We are committed to creating conducive environment for investment," Prachanda said. Jhalanath Khanal, General Secretary of CPN (UML) highlighted the need to devise long and short term measures to achieve economic growth in a short span of time. He said the hydro power, tourism, agriculture and industrialization are the tools for economic development. (ANI)
