Lucknow, Feb 2 (IANS) The Samajwadi Party (SP) Tuesday expelled rebel leaders Amar Singh and Jaya Prada and four Uttar Pradesh legislators for criticising the party leadership publicly.

Newly-appointed general secretary Mohan Singh told reporters here that they were trying to split the party.
