New Delhi, July 2 Inflation stayed at -1.3 percent for the third consecutive week ended on June 20. Inflation fell down even though the prices of fruits and vegetables rose compared to the prices during this time in last year. During the week ended June 20, prices of food articles rose by 0.6 per cent and non-food articles by 0.3 per cent. This is the third week in a row that inflation remained negative with the index showing (-) 1.14 per cent for the week ended June 13. The prices of food items like tea and fish marine declined by 4 percent each, and jowar by 3 percent, while the prices of non-food articles as fodder, groundnut seed and raw wool rose by 4 percent, 2 percent and 4 percent, respectively.(ANI)
