Washington, July 02 Michael Jackson's illuminating white gloves, which he wore on The Jacksons' 1984 Victory Tour will go under the hammer in October. The sale will be conducted at Profiles In History auction. "The consignor set the price at 60,000 dollars to 80,000 dollars before Michael Jackson's death, so we'll start there, but the price for this item could even approach 1 million dollars," Contactmusic quoted Profiles In History spokesman Marc Kruskol as saying. The glove, which is an important piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia, is ornamented with bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones and fitted with 50 small lights powered by a single battery placed in the cuff of the glove. The piece of cloth with the gems is a part of the King Of Pop's classic attire 'Suit Of Lights'. The illuminating glove was specially designed by Ted Shell of Ted Shell Designs, which Jackson returned as a gift to him in 1986. The memorabilia is accompanied with a signed letter of authenticity by Shell, as well as a signed letter by L.A. Marquee Special Lighting Effects boss Judie Mallen, who installed the lights in the glove for the tour. Authorities have decided to display the glove at their booth at San Diego, California comic book convention ComicCon later this month for the icon's fans to see. A spokesman said, "We want fans to have the opportunity to view this iconic piece of entertainment history." Another glove designed by Shell, which Jackson wore in the mid-1980s will be auctioned.
