New Delhi, Aug 3 A special screening of the Oscar award-winning movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday.

President Pratibha Patil watched the winning movie in the company of music composer A.R. Rahman, double Oscar winner, and Resul Pookutty who won the sound mixing Oscar award.

Pookutty said that he was greatly honoured to watch the film along with the President.

"Its really a great honour to be here with the President of the country watching this film. Its actually lot of emotions running through me because it reminds me of February 22 evening. When we marked our entry in main stream Hollywood," said Pookutty.

Rahman said that the film reminded him of the need to help the underprivileged.

"The film actually reminds us again and again that we have a lot to do for the country and about the lives of the people who are underprivileged and seeing the film today reminded me even more and I noticed small things in the film which I didn't notice while scoring," he added.

Rahman and Pookutty won three Oscars for India as the "Slumdog Millionaire" juggernaut swept the annual Hollywood awards.

"Slumdog Millionaire", based on Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup's novel "Q and A", came to the 81st Academy Awards ceremony with 10 nominations and failed to win only in the Sound Editing category. (ANI)
