Doha, Nov 3 British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said that negotiations with the Taliban on the war in Afghanistan were unlikely. In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Brown said that a dialogue with the Taliban to halt violence would be "very, very difficult". He said that he understood that Afghan President Hamid Karzai wanted to create a more inclusive society, "but it would be difficult to hold any form of talks with the Taliban, as long as they keep killing British and NATO troops", reported the Daily Times. NATO's supreme allied commander for Europe Gen John Craddock said last month that many rural Afghans saw the Taliban as more effective than the Karzai administration. (ANI)
