London, November 03 British singer Will Young has revealed that he apologized to Sir Paul McCartney earlier this year, for doing a bad rendition of the Beatles' hit track 'The Long And Winding Road.' The 'Leave Right Now' hitmaker had met the legend in July, after he was given the opportunity to associate with the stage school McCartney helped establish, 'Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts'. Young said that the two had talked about his 2002 duet with fellow Pop Idol contestant Gareth Gates. "I met him (McCartney) recently and he was lovely. And all I could think about was me singing his song The Long and Winding Road," the Daily Star quoted him as saying. He added: "I was like, 'I'm so sorry. I f**king murdered that song.'" (ANI)
