Mumbai, Feb 4 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Mumbai Friday to interact with youths from a posh area and a slum, but the Shiv Sena is determined to confront him with black flags.

According to the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC), Gandhi will address students at the Bhaidas Auditorium in the Juhu area where students from various city colleges have been invited.

'He will deliver a short address to them before a select group of students have individual interaction with him,' said the party leader.

In the afternoon, Gandhi will go to Ghatkopar, the north-eastern part of Mumbai where the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar slums are located.

He will garland a statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar there and then interact with select youths from the slum.

The Congress spokesman said that both the meetings were organised keeping Gandhi's wish to meet youths and students from different strata of the society.

'We have been barged with calls from students, youth organizations and others to attend the meetings. But due to space and security constraints, we could not accommodate all requests,' he said.

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena - which has launched a vitriolic attack on Gandhi over the past four days - Friday announced that it will greet the Congress MP with black flags wherever he goes in Mumbai.

Taking a grim view of the Sena tirade against Gandhi, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan warned the group against breaking the law and order during the VVIP visit.

Chavan said that any such attempt would be dealt with 'very severely' by the police and the government.
