London, July 4 (ANI): Sir Richard Branson has topped a list of the men with moolah whom British women would love to date.

The entrepreneur took 35 percent of the votes in a poll by online dating firm PARSHIP recently.

Branson, who's worth a whopping 2,700 million pounds, had no problems beating off former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, who came in second place with 25 percent of the votes.

McCartney in turn beat off Chelsea Football Club owner, Roman Abramovich, worth 11, 700 million pounds, with 19 percent of the votes even though the Russian happens to be far richer than him.

The top five was rounded off by Alan Sugar and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who came in fourth and fifth place respectively with 13 percent and 5 percent of the votes.

Tony Blin-Stoyle, PARSHIP's UK and Ireland Director, commented: "It's not surprising that the mature man is likely to be richer. However, he will also be wiser in the ways of what puts a smile on a woman's face. It's not just about diamonds and being a sugar daddy. It's very much about being self-assured and at ease in the glare of publicity. Knowing which restaurant fits what mood and being more patient in romantic situations."

The list for the top six Women's Romantic Rich List as per PARSHIP is:

1. Richard Branson (2,700m pounds) 35pct

2. Paul McCartney (500m pounds) 25pct

3. Roman Abramovich (11,700m pounds) 19pct

4. Alan Sugar (830m pounds) 13pct

5. Andrew Lloyd Webber (750m pounds) 5pct

6. Mohamed al-Fayed (555m pounds) 2pct (ANI)
