NITIE, one of India's premier B-Schools is triggering Prerana 2009, its flagship event to promote business awareness and celebrate emerging corporate excellence. With Prerana 2009, College continues its tradition of providing the students a platform to benchmark their knowledge with the best in the country and to keep inspiring the budding managers as they take their first steps in the high profile corporate world.
In its 15th year of the event college perceives, “Prerana has moved from strength to strength, today drawing more than 10000 participants, from all across the country. Prerana is a three day Management extravaganza that aims at promoting business excellence. It is a platform that brings together leaders from the industry & enthusiastic student representatives from top B-Schools under one roof”.
The 3 day fest takes off with the elite Prerana Business Meet where industry stalwarts and visionaries deliberate over the topic: “Demystifying the Reforms enigma: The How, Why and Why Not of Laissez Faire”. The speakers include some luminaries like Mr. Gurcharan Das (renowned author & columnist (TOI)) former Managing Director, Strategic Planning, Procter & Gamble Worldwide, Mr. Mukesh Malik, Director (O&T), Citibank South Asia, Mr. Ram Gopal, Managing Director, Barclays India, Ms. Meera Sanyal, Country Executive, Royal Bank Scotland India, Mr. Narayan Ramachandran, Country Head, Morgan Stanley India and Dr. H.B.Joshipura, Chairman & Managing Director, Glaxo SmithKline.
Then there is PBQ (Prerana Business Quiz) which is one of the most awaited events amongst the B-school quizzers since its inception in 2001. The competition will be between corporate Vs student upholded by Radhakrishnan Srinivasan (RK), the face of NEO cricket.
Several other competitions would be Cita-de-la Prerana, STRATAGEM, Vivaad, Beat the Street, Launchpad, The last Samurai, DECIBELZ etc.
The fest combines business with pleasure as the popular rock band “Parikrama” rock the NITIE lawns with more than 4000 rock enthusiasts swinging to their tunes.
