New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) A pleasant morning greeted Delhiites Friday, a day after the city saw traces of rainfall but it hardly had any effect on the mercury level, which continued to be well above the average for this time of the year.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded early Friday was four degrees above the average at 17.5 degrees Celsius.

'The rainfall last evening was just in traces, therefore although the morning was pleasant, it hardly made any difference to the temperature. There is no more rain forecast for today. It will be a clear day,' the official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius.
