British visa centre in Islamabad closed due to security reasons

Islamabad, Sept 5 (ANI): Citing security reasons, the British High Commission in Islamabad last evening closed its visa application centre for an indefinite period.

"We have closed the visa application centre after receiving a threatening phone call," the Daily Times quoted a British High Commission official as saying.

She said that the closure was temporary and the centre would resume its operation after assessing the threat.

The unnamed official, however, did not elaborate on the nature of the threat. (ANI)
