London, Nov 5 Gerry Burks, 75, will enter record books after his 40-year-old wife, Dawn, gives birth next march, making him the oldest dad in Britain. This would be the couple's second child after their six-year-old son, Daniel. "I'm ecstatic about the news. I just can't wait to be a dad again," the Sun quoted Burks, as saying. Burks, who is also a father to three grown-up children from his first marriage, believes age has not affected his relationship with Dawn. He said: "Age has never been an issue for me and Dawn. "We seem to meet in the middle, as I am young at heart and she always says she is older for her age. I can do anything a younger man can." Dawn agreed and added: "Age is just a number. "We are kindred spirits and have the same outlook and that's all that counts. For Gerry to be Britain's oldest father is an amazing achievement but he doesn't want fame, he just wants us to be a happy family." Little Daniel is also excited at the prospect of new company. He said: "My Dad is the best and I love him. I can't wait for a brother or sister." Burks and Dawn first came across each other in 1994 when they lived as neighbours in Louth, Lincs. They were friends for years before they fell in love and tied the knot in 2003. (ANI)
