A calendar featuring Bollywood stars unveiled in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 6 India's ace photographer, Daboo Ratnani unveiled his new celebrity calendar for 2009 here on Monday.

Ratnani shot into fame with his annual calendar, which was first published in 1999.

"Initially I did not think that my calendar will be a rage, but I knew that I was here to be a photographer but calendar was something that I had developed in the year 1999. When I put in the pictures of my earlier years and produced my first calendar just as a gift and what happened was with the reactions that I got was overwhelming. So I decided to continue the tradition and make this calendar every year," said Ratnani. Director Madhur Bhandarkar said that he had come to the venue to congratulate his friend Ratnani.

"Daboo is my friend for quiet some time and he clicks the pictures in a style which is very unique and I am very happy that he has completed ten years in taking out this calendar," Bhandarkar added.

Actor Lara Dutta who graced the occasion said that Dabboo was veryell versed in shooting the celebrities.

"I think he is very professional and well versed in shooting celebrities and every time he gives a different look to the celebrity," she added. (ANI)
