London, Feb 7 (IANS) British comedian Russell Brand locked lips with American actor Jason Segel at the 'Stand With Haiti' benefit gig in Los Angeles Tuesday.

Rumours are rife that the funnyman, who is engaged to singer Katy Perry, will offend her deeply religious mother knowing that her son-in-law-to-be has kissed a man, reports celebrifi.com.

This is not the first time celebrities have romped up public appearances with same sex kisses.

Recently, Sandra Bullock kissed Meryl Streep at the 15th annual Critics' Choice Awards.

Others to have followed suit are John Travolta and Kirk Douglas and Madonna and Britney Spears.
