Photo journalist killed in Orissa road accident

Bhubaneswar, March 7 A 35-year-old photo journalist was killed when the car in which he was traveling hit a roadside tree in Puri district, police said Sunday.

Bhubaneswar, March 7 (IANS) A 35-year-old photo journalist was killed when the car in which he was traveling hit a roadside tree in Puri district, police said Sunday.

The incident occurred near Pipili Saturday when Mukesh Kumar, who was working as photographer with Aaj Tak television channel, was traveling from Puri to Bhubaneswar.

Kumar was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

He is survived by his wife and a six-month-old son.

A reporter of the Hindi news channel Pravat Kumar, who was also traveling along with Mukesh, sustained grievous injuries and was undergoing treatment in the hospital, they added.
