Anne Hathaway drew on inner emotions for new film role

Washington, October 7 Actress Anne Hathaway has revealed that she had to draw a lot on her inner emotions to play a complex role in her latest movie 'Rachel Getting Married'.

In the movie, the 25-year-old portrays Kim, an ex-model who returns home after nine months in rehab for the wedding of her sister Rachel.

Anne, who has already created a stir for probable awards on the back of her spectacular performance in the movie, confessed that she had to literally dig deep into her own feelings to understand the intricate character with an addiction.

"You go to the truth. I'm very, very lucky that I love my job and my job is to really plumb the depths of my imagination and my character's circumstances, the stakes are very high and her pain is so present over the death of her little brother, which she does bear the responsibility for," CBS News quoted her as revealing to the 'Early Show' co-anchor Harry Smith.

"What I thought about was the depths of my love for my brother and where that would take me.

"That was the jumping off point," she added.

Anne, who was immensely praised for her performances in 'The Brokeback Mountain' and 'The Devil Wear Prada', further said that though she was humbled with the murmurs of her Oscar-winning performance, but she would rather wait for the film to open.

She said: "Does it matter? It certainly doesn't - 'doesn't matter.' I've been doing this a decade and this is the first time I've ever gotten any kind of recognition on this level that people are saying that my work could garner something like that or deserves it. That's amazing."

She further added: "I'm not going to lie. That makes me feel really good, but I'm not going to be any more proud of this film. It hasn't opened yet and I think the film is successful." (ANI)
