Auckland, Oct. 7 New Zealand taekwondo practitioner Logan Campbell, who opened a brothel to finance his 2012 Olympic Games bid, may not be allowed to qualify for the championship, as he has "violated the Olympic movement's values."

The New Zealand Olympic Committee has written to Campbell, threatening legal action.

"Based on the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect, we would place your actions as totally inconsistent with these values," stuff.co.nz quoted the NZOC, as saying.

The NZOC thinks that Campbell is using the Olympic connection to publicise the brothel.

"Your open solicitation of clients for your business while using the Olympics or Olympian connection must cease immediately," the letter added.

Campbell, who finished in the top 16 in the featherweight (68 kg) category at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, opened a "high-class gentleman's club" with a friend in Auckland this year.

He said that his brothel business is a legitimate fundraising effort. We are not forcing anyone to be here. They are here of their own free will," he said.

His Beijing Olympic campaign had cost about 150,000 dollars, most of which came from his parents.

This time he hoped to earn 300,000 dollars by 2011 to fund his bid for the London 2012.

However, if Campbell continues to use the Olympic connection for his business, his chances of being selected for the Games could be doomed. (ANI)
