New Delhi, Sep. 8 The Gujarat Government is planning to file an appeal against the state High Court's verdict against its decision of banning Jaswant Singh's controversial book on Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Supreme Court was told on Tuesday. The state government counsel conveyed this to the apex during the hearing of a petition filed by Singh challenging the ban on his book 'Jinnah-India, Partition, Independence'. The apex court admitted a petition and posted the matter for further hearing on October 20. A Bench comprising Justices Altamas Kabir and Cyriac Joseph said: "Since the notification challenged in the writ petition has been struck down, no interim order is required to be passed at this stage."
