New York, Oct 9 Actor Christian Slater was an adult when he decided to go back to finish his high school education - so that he could be more of a role model to his kids.

The 'Broken Arrow' star admits he never took his education very seriously when he was younger and knew it was high time to return to the classroom when he became a father.

"High school was not something that I remotely took seriously," the New York Post quoted him, as telling Parade magazine in an interview.

"And now I've got these kids, so it's like . . . what am I going to do?"

"I had to go to a high school classroom with a bunch of kids getting their GED [General Education Development diploma] . . . it ended up that I squeaked by," he added. (ANI)
