Washington, Nov 9 American actor Jake Gyllenhaal is said to be in negotiations to star in sci-fi thriller "Source Code" for Vendome Pictures and The Mark Gordon Co.
The movie will be directed by Duncan Jones and produced by Mark Gordon with Vendome's CEO Philippe Rousselet and Jordan Wynn, reports Variety magazine.
Production is slated to begin during the first quarter, and Summit Entertainment will distribute the film in the U.S.
Summit International is also handling the international sales, which began at the American Film Market with over 15 territories licensed.
"Source Code" centres on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.
Rousselet noted that the film will launch the Vendome slate, adding he believes it will appeal to a world-wide audience and exemplify the types of producers and filmmakers with whom Vendome plans to work. (ANI)
