Melbourne, November 10 Britney Spears has slammed negative media coverage of her performance in Australia, insisting she came Down Under for her fans.

The pop princess was accused in media reports of disappointing fans with onstage miming in Perth that allegedly led few devotees to walk out of the show after just three songs.

The 27-year-old has now broken her silence and got back at critics over her show on November 6.

"I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show," News.com.au quoted Britney as saying in a statement.

"Some reporters have said they love it and some don't. I came to Australia for my fans!" she added. (ANI)
