Six of family electrocuted trying to save child

Patna, March 11 Five people of a family were killed Thursday in a Bihar village while trying to save a child who had came in contact with a high voltage wire, police said. The child could not be saved.

Patna, March 11 (IANS) Five people of a family were killed Thursday in a Bihar village while trying to save a child who had came in contact with a high voltage wire, police said. The child could not be saved.

The incident took place in Sadatpur village in Muzaffarpur district.

Police said all the victims belong to the same family.

'All of them were electrocuted after they came in contact with a high voltage wire while they were trying to save a child,' police said.

Angry villagers blamed power department officials and protested by blocking roads and demanded compensation for the family.
