New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today to find ways to give relief to airlines that are seeing losses growing due to high jet fuel prices. Patel is likely to make a presentation to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram about the difficulties being faced by the aviation industry. Besides some airline chiefs, Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal and Kingfisher Airlines' Vijay Mallya are expected to attend the meeting. The civil aviation industry suffered a staggering loss of Rs 4,000 crore in 2007-08. This could double in the current fiscal depending on the fuel prices, according to industry estimates. (ANI)
