London, June 11 'Best job in the world' winner Ben Southall, who's set to begin his tryst in Hamilton island, says he'll miss the British summer and its festivities.

"Despite the weather, I love summer in Britain - the festivals and outdoor activities," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"I'll miss the long days we have. The island may boast a tropical climate but it gets dark at 8pm," he added.

A charity worker, Southall emerged victorious among more than 34,000 hopefuls for a six-month post as caretaker of Hamilton Island off Queensland, Australia.

He said he would pine for Sunday dinners, adding: "It will be far too hot to cook anything like that." (ANI)
