New Delhi, Nov 11 The Union Government on Wednesday decided to give USD 25 per day per head as pocket money to Indian sportspersons playing abroad.

According to the Union Sports Ministry: " It has decided to provide Out of Pocket Allowance @ USD 25 per day per head to players and other members of the Indian contingent who are deputed as part of the official contingent at Government cost for the participation in major international sports events abroad."

Keeping in view the long-standing demand of the sportspersons, the Ministry has issued orders with a direction to all National Sports Federations for implementation with an immediate effect. (ANI)
