CBI to probe killing of Sohrabuddin, others

New Delhi, Jan 12 The Supreme Court Tuesday transferred the probe into the alleged staged killings of Ujjain youth Sohrabuddin Sheikh, his wife Kausar Bi and their family friend Tulsi Ram Prajapati by a Gujarat police team in November 2005 to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

New Delhi, Jan 12 (IANS) The Supreme Court Tuesday transferred the probe into the alleged staged killings of Ujjain youth Sohrabuddin Sheikh, his wife Kausar Bi and their family friend Tulsi Ram Prajapati by a Gujarat police team in November 2005 to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

A bench of Justice Tarun Chatterjee and Justice Aftab Alam transferred the probe to CBI on a lawsuit by Sohrabuddin's brother Rubabuddin Sheikh expressing distrust against the ongoing probe by Gujarat police into the allegedly staged killings.
