London, November 12 Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has put rumours of him quitting the band at rest.

The singer made the revelation after joining guitarist and bandmate of 40 years Joe Perry on stage in New York.I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith," the BBC quoted Tyler as saying.

Perry previously said there had been no communication between him and Tyler for months and the band were on a hunt for a new frontman.

Speaking to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, he said: "Steven quit as far as I can tell." (ANI)
