Jaipur, February 13. The Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Gehlot has welcomed the Rail Budget for no increase in rail fare for the fourth consecutive year and for decrease in all categories of passengers fare.
Welcoming the announcement of two percent decrease in passengers fare in the rail budget, Shri Gehlot said that this would make the journey of general passengers more pleasant. He appreciated the decrease of two percent in the passenger fare of all the categories and said that the UPA Government had continuously increased the passenger facilities in the last five years and put Indian Railways on new heights.
The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan had also received six new trains in this budget, which was indeed a welcome step. Similarly the extension of two trains and increase in rounds by two trains would also benefit the people of the state.
Gehlot said that the provision for survey of new lines for Ringus-Didwana via Khatushyamji and Samdari-Phalodi had further raised the hope for more new trains in Rajasthan. Likewise the double line of Bandikui-Alwar and Ajmer-Palanpur Rail line would also benefit the state in different ways.
Thanking the Rail Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Chief Minister said that the budget would prove to be beneficial for the people of Rajasthan.
