New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) A 45-year-old man died after falling into a sewer in east Delhi, police said Friday.

'The incident took place at around 8.30 p.m. last (Thursday) night when Devendra Prasad fell into an open sewer in Shahdara area. He was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital where doctors declared him dead,' a police official said.

Prasad was a resident of Ramnagar Colony of the area, the official added.
