Puri, Dec 13 Noted Sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has sculpted an impressive image in sand to condemning the prevalent reign of terror, destruction and death that was unleashed by militants in Mumbai on November 26.
Apart from condemning terrorism, Sudarshan through his art has also conveyed condolence to the mourning kith and kin of the victims.
"Through this sand art, they have tried to create awareness to stop terrorism. These terrorist attacks should not happen as many innocent people lose their lives in the incident," said Bidita, a resident.
Hundreds of visitors and tourists from India as well as abroad visiting Puri happen to see the marvellous art by Patnaik. They also appreciate his social crusade through sand sculpture.
"Many a times, we have created sand sculptures to create awareness in people against terrorism. We also want to give a message to terrorists that because of such terror acts many people lose their lives," he said.
The tourists and other visitors frequenting the beachside also paid homage to the victims through floral tributes on the sand sculpture.
The prime attraction of the present sand sculpture is the carved eye with a slogan reading 'Stop Terrorism'. (ANI)
