London, May 14 (ANI): English fashion model Sophie Dahl, who had lost a lot of weight recently, has written a cookery-cum-slimming book called 'Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights'.

Dahl, who was once the face of Opium perfume and a role model for normal-sized women, shed pounds to go from a curvy size 16 to a willowy size eight.

And she aims to help other women do the same.

"I wanted to write a memoir about food, a recipe book that gets over the message that you don't have to starve yourself to be reasonably skinny," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

"You can eat quite happily and the more you obsess about it, the more of an issue it becomes.

"It's an anecdotal book about how to be slim - and still eat. Healthy breakfasts, lunches and suppers, and some fattening puddings. Easy, simple home cooking that's healthy," she said.

When her weight went down drastically, it caused a controversy that she has an eating disorder, which she has vehemently denied.

"I slimmed down naturally. Good old-fashioned exercise," she stated.

There have been previous literary efforts and the cookbook is the third to have been written by the granddaughter of the late children's author Roald Dahl.

Dahl has already written two fiction books, and declares herself to be nowhere close to her grandfather.

"Please don't even think about comparing me to my grandfather. There is absolutely no way that I would, or could, have the audacity to replace him," she said.

The latest work is due out in early September but there are rumours that she will have a more important upcoming date in her diary - marriage to her pint-sized love, musician Jamie Cullum, who is some seven inches shorter than her. When asked about any engagement, the 5ft 11in beauty, comments that it is her business.

"That's my business. But I'm quite rosy-visioned about love. Embarrassing, isn't it?" she added. (ANI)
