New Delhi August 14. Rajasthan Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje inaugurated six public welfare schemes in the social sector at Gaushala Maidan in Jodhpur on Monday. She also distributed cheques, cycles, transport vouchers and un-employment allowance to the benefited on the occasion.
Besides the allowance to un-employed youth, the social welfare schemes include the ambitious scheme of providing pension to the non-organised workers along with concessions to widows, school going girl students in rural areas and participation in the allround development of girl child.
Akshat Yoajna 2007
The scheme to provide un-employment allowance to the youth till they obtain employment has been implemented in the state from 1St July, 2007. Under the scheme those un-employed youth have been included whose parent's annual income is not more than one lakh. Under this the male applicants will get Rs. 400, female Rs.500 and handicapped Rs.600 per month as un-employment allowance.
RajasthanVishwakarma Non-Organised Worker pension scheme- 2007
Under the scheme to provide pension to the workers, working under the non-organised sector, the State Government will make equal contribution as made by the worker upto the limit of Rs.1000 per year. Rajasthan is the leading state of the country to implement this scheme.
Cycle Distribution Schem
This scheme will be implemented for all the girl students of rural areas. Each girl student taking admission in class 10th in the academic session 2007-08 would be provided a new cycle on the payment of Rs.300 in the condition of non-availability of government higher secondary school at a distance of 2 kms. from her residence.
Transport Voucher Yojana
The Scheme has been implemented to provide the girl students from 9th to 12th standard the facility for going to school at a distance of more than distance of 5 kms. in rural areas, or to provide the facility of group private transport to girl students.
Palanhar Scheme for Widows
The State Government has extended the Palanhar Scheme and has included the women eligible for destitute pension. According to this one son of such women would be provided a subsidy of Rs.500 per month upto five years of age and Rs.675 per month upto the age from 6th to 15th years.
Mukhaya Mantri Balika Sambal Yojana
Keeping in view the decreasing sex ratio in the state the scheme has been implemented with the view to ensure the participation of the state government along with the parents for providing better education and allround development of the girl child of the family. The scheme is also significant from the point of preventing child marriage and population control.
Scheme to Provide Contract without Tender to Un-employed Graduate Engineers
Under the scheme there is the provision to allot first contract without tender to the un-employed graduate engineers.
The Chief Minister distributed cheques, contracts, subsidy amount to the benefited men, women and girls under various schemes. She also distributed appointment letters, assistance amount and 'Pattas' allotted to different communities by the Urban Development Trust Jodhpur on the occasion.
