Pak NSA says ISI played no role in Kabul embassy bombing(Update-NSA)

New Delhi, Oct.14 Visiting Pakistan national Security Adviser Mahmud Ali Durrani told reporters here on Tuesday that his country's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had no role in the bombing of the Indian Embassy in Kabul in July this year.

"No. No. No. Incorrect," Durrani, a former army man and Ambassador to the United States, said here when asked to comment on reports alleging that Pakistan's ISI had a role in the Kabul blasts.

He was talking to reporters after meeting External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee. Durrani is also meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP President Rajnath Singh.

"I had a very good meeting with the Foreign Minister ... things are going okay," he said.

On Monday, Durrani held delegation level talks with his Indian counterpart M K Narayanan who raised the issue of Kabul bombings and rise in instances of ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The two sides are understood to have discussed the Kashmir issue and the Sir Creek dispute.

India has been perturbed by increasing incidents of cross-LoC firing by Pakistani army, many a times to provide cover to infiltrating militants. New Delhi has also been angry at the suicide attack on its embassy in Kabul on July 7, for which Afghanistan, India and the US have blamed Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. (ANI)
