Noida, Nov.14 As winter sets in north India, school kids in Noida city of Uttar Pradesh donated warm clothes to poor children on the occasion of Children's Day, which this year marked the 120th birth anniversary of first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on Saturday (Nov.14).

Organized by a radio channel, the donation drive in Noida city witnessed children donating a large number of warm clothes to underprivileged children under the care of a voluntary group, 'Bachpan Bachao Andolan' (save childhood movement) NGO.

Rohit Bal, the noted fashion designer, graced the occasion and donated some clothes from his collection. He appreciated the efforts of the school children.

"I think this is an incredible effort from these wonderful children actually bringing all these clothes for the underprivileged. I think that's main purpose of life, it should be to help the underprivileged," said Bal.

School children said that they felt happy after donating clothes.

"We should help children who can't afford warm-clothes and live on streets. So, we have decided to donate clothes," said Sunaina Sharma, a student. (ANI)
