Another strong earthquake hits Chile

Washington, March 15 An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Chile Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

Washington, March 15 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Chile Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

The latest tremor occurred at 8.08 a.m. (1108 GMT) 110 km northwest of Chile's second-largest city Concepcion, which was rocked by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake Feb 27, Xinhua reported.

The Chilean government put the confirmed toll of the massive quake at 529.
