Islamabad, Apr.15 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that Pakistan seeks peaceful solution of Kashmir issue through dialogue process.

While talking to the visiting Kashmiri President, Zulqernain Khan, who met him at the PM House on Monday, Gillani said that masses would be taken into confidence over UN Resolutions regarding Kashmir, and vowed to keep up the political, diplomatic and moral support of Kashmiri masses in their bid for Independence.

According to Online News, the talks were held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, and also focused on such important issues, like affectees of Mangla Dam, Earthquake, raising of Mangla Dam level, and other matters of mutual benefit and interests.

The PM reminded the honourable guest that his ancestors also attended the 23rd March 1940 Resolution and had vowed that Kashmir would form an integral part of the newly formed Pakistan.

The President AJK deplored the fact that despite the resolution passed on 19 July 1947, the British and Hindu regime of India conspired and ever since the Indian forces have kept the valley occupied under its illegal rule.

He thanked the masses of Pakistan for keeping up relentless support of their Kashmiri brethren during all crises that ever cropped up.

He also expressed his reservations and concerns about the Mangla Dam raising project, briefing the Pakistani PM about the need to speed up the projects regarding increase in family structures, irrigation water, construction of Dhan Galli Bridge, and construction of new towns for earthquake affectees.

Gillani assured the Khan of pursuing the UN Resolutions over the Independence of the Valley and keep up the political, moral and ethical support of the masses.

He reminded that late Z.A. Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto raised the Kashmir issue on all forums, and hoped for Indian reciprocity on the issue. (ANI)
