Jaipur, May 15 (ANI): Curfew continued on Thursday in 14 to 15 police station areas of Jaipur, two days after eight serial blasts rocked the city. The curfew has been imposed between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit the city to take stock of the situation.

Patil said he was in constant touch with Home Ministry officials in Delhi to get the latest update on the situation. He was also in touch with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and had assured her of all help from the Centre.

On Wednesday, Rajasthan Police released a sketch of a suspected terrorist on the basis of details provided by a shopkeeper at Kishenpole Bazaar who sold him a cycle, which was used in planting a bomb in the crowded area.

Raje said the bombs used in the high intensity blasts contained RDX and ammonium nitrate. They were made of iron ball bearings, and alarm clock circuits and were planted in new bicycles.

Seven teams of the Rajasthan Police and the intelligence branch have begun a probe into the blasts.

Central experts have also been sent to Jaipur to co-ordinate investigations with the Rajasthan Government.

Security has been tightened across the country.(ANI)
