Sonia, Patil visit terror-hit areas of Jaipur

Jaipur, May 15 (ANI): Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today visited terror-hit areas of Jaipur.

Both also met injured who are undergoing treatment in the Sawai Mansingh Hospital and other local hospitals.

Condemning the terrorist act, Patil said, "Strict action will be taken against those responsible for the blasts. Centre will also try to compensate the losses suffered by the victims."

The Home Minister also appreciated the courage shown by the people of Jaipur and the help they extended to the victims of the blasts.

AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot and PCC President C P Joshi and other senior Congress leaders accompanied Sonia.

Prior to Sonia's visit, Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje went to the Sawai Mansingh Hospital to inquire about the welfare of the injured. She also visited the Santokba Durlabji Hospital.

On Wednesday, Rajasthan Police has released the sketch of a suspected terrorist on the basis of details provided by a shopkeeper at Kishenpole Bazaar who sold him a cycle, which was used in planting a bomb in the crowded area. (ANI)
