Writers, Columnist, Cartoonist, Photo-Journalist Invited to send their Contributions

Washington, July 15 (ANI): The world's press was camped at their hospital door, but it was a small French publication that got the scoop about Angelina Jolie giving birth, thanks to the star and her beau Brad Pitt.

Local paper Nice-Matin was the first to report the news of the birth of the couple's twins.

Editor Olivier Biscaye revealed that after the couple had decided that the local media should be the first to know, they invited Nice-Matin journalist Jean-Francois Rouboud to their hospital suite.

"It was Brad Pitt who chose to give the scoop to Nice-Matin. He said to the doctor that the local media should be the first informed about the birth," Contactmusic quoted Biscaye, as saying.

"We knew we would be the first in the world. Rouboud spoke to the doctor... We had all the details: the names, weight, one boy, one girl."

Biscaye, thrilled with the gesture, admits that it was probably the paper's reputation that served to land him and his reporter the big scoop.

"Nice-Matin has always chosen not to play the game of paparazzi towards the celebrities who have chosen to live in the region. We respect them, and they do likewise," he said.

"We let them have a peaceful life. This is why I think Brad and Angelina have chosen to make this gift to Nice-Matin." (ANI)
