New Delhi, Oct 15 The much-awaited five-day long fashion fiesta 'Wills Lifestyle India Fashion week' kicked off here today.

Ace designers showcased the best of their designs in the high-heeled fashion fete that is one of the major business-to-business fashion events in India.

Designer Anjana Bhargav presented a chic collection of apparels reflecting the choice of today's youth.

With inputs from her daughter Ankita who is to join the industry soon Anjana showcased an array of peppy, youthful yet sophisticated attires made of natural cottons, shimmer linens and georgette lycras.

Her collection called 'Anky' combined style with sensitivity and targetedhose between 18-28 years.

"My collection was for Spring Summers'09. The specialty of my design is that the cuts are not pattern made there is constructed deconstruction meaning there are certain things, which are cut on a pattern, and certain things just draped to the body. So each dress has a little difference. It can never be replicated in the same way," said Anjana.

Approximately 80 designers are showcasing their collection in this season. The fashion week would provide a stage to 18 new designers to showcase their talent and woo the fashion glitterati.

Around 160 buyers, including 70 from abroad, will attend the spring or summer edition of country's leading business-to-business fashion event. (ANI)
