London, March 16 (IANS) Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan sparked fears that she had contracted swine flu on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The 'Mean Girls' star posted a note on her twitter page last week asking fans, 'What are the symptoms of Swine Flu?'.

'I never said I have it or anything, I was just reaching out to ask because everyone here may know different things about it. Isn't this what Twitter is for? I don't (know if I have it) and my doctor is coming now. I didn't Google it bc (because) this seemed more convenient,' hollywood.com quoted Lohan as saying.

Lohan wrote, 'Achey? My friend had it and I am sick and I'm now concerned!!!!'

The actress played down fears for her health after receiving messages from fans, but admitted she had asked a doctor for a check-up.
