London, November 16 The hit television series Charlie's Angels, one of the most successful of the 1970s, is set for a modern remake.

The classic show, about three women who work for a private investigation agency, originally featured Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett.

Fawcett passed away earlier this year after suffering from cancer.

The programme, whose 2000 film adaptation starring Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz went on to become a box office hit, will reportedly air on US network ABC, reports The Telegraph.

Actors to replace the original cast in the remake of the series for television are yet to be decided.

The remake will see the involvement of Leonard Goldberg, one of the original producers, and will be penned by Josh Friedman. (ANI)
