New Delhi, Nov.16 Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who arrived in Mumbai on Sunday, will begin his official engagements in national capital New Delhi on Tuesday.

A Ministry of External Affairs press release said that External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna would call on the visiting dignitary at Hotel Oberoi at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Thereafter, Premier Harper will call on the President Pratiba Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

At noon, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani will call on Premier Harper.he Canadian Prime Minister will lay a wreath at Rajghat, the memorial of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at 3.15 p.m. on the same day.

He will then call on the Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari at the latter's official residence.

A meeting with UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is scheduled for 4.20 p.m. at her residence.

Prime Minister Harper will then have delegation-level talks with Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Hyderabad House for about an hour-and-a-half. This will be followed by a signing of agreements and a joint press conference.

On Wednesday, Premier Harper will visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in East Delhi and then leave for Amritsar. He will return to Delhi later in the evening and emplane for Ottawa later in the night. (ANI)
