The blast took place on October 30, leaving 89 dead and injuring over 500 people.

Prayers were held for the families, affected by militant violence.

"The government must take effective steps to give security to the innocent people, to the people of Assam. At the same time, the government must act effectively to evict all those forces which is creating violence in our state," said Dr. Sammujal Bhattacharya, Advisor, All Assam Students Union.

Musicians under the banner of Eastern Beats Music Society sang and documented the sorrows of he common man who has borne the brunt of the militant attacks.

A rock contest was also organized to pay tribute to the blast victims by upcoming musicians.
