Shimla, Feb 17 (IANS) Keylong town in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul and Spiti district shivered through Wednesday as the mercury dropped to minus 12 degrees Celsius, weather office here said.

It was a bright and sunny day in the mid and lower hills of the state while the higher reaches reeled under sub-zero temperatures.

State capital Shimla recorded day temperature of 12.7 degrees Celsius whereas the night temperature was 2.5 degrees Celsius, the Met Office said here.
