London, March 17 (IANS) Simon Cowell will not marry fiance Mezhgan Hussainy this spring, his representative says.

Contactmusic.com reports that the 'American Idol' judge had proposed to his make-up artist girlfriend last week and a source said: '(The couple is) planning to tie the knot in Italy this spring. It is a perfect time of year (for the nuptials).'

Cowell's spokesperson has dismissed the claims, saying: 'This is not true,' insisting the happy couple has yet to start planning their big day.
