London, March 17 (IANS) Australian pop star Dannii Minogue's boyfriend Kris Smith has revealed that she mistook him for being gay when they first met.

'When I first started speaking to her I had no idea who she was. It was only afterwards when a friend told me. She was discussing with her friends if I was gay or not. Now we're together I can prove a point,' dailystar.co.uk quotes rugby player-turned-model Smith as saying.

Minogue and Smith started dating in 2008 and was unsure, whether Smith was attracted to men or women when they first met. The singer is expecting her first child with Smith.
