London, March 17 (IANS) Pop singer Britney Spears has reportedly broken up with her boyfriend Jason Trawick.

The couple had parted ways in February after about a year of dating. 'They were fighting a lot and have not been getting along,' the source said. However, the singer's representative has yet to confirm the reports.

Last year it was reported that Spears proposed to Trawick, who is also her agent, while she was on tour in Australia. When he said no, she told him to take the next plane back to the US. But the news was neither confirmed nor denied, reports hollyscoop.com.

'They both just needed to take a break from each other. It wasn't working out,' the source added.

Though they are not dating anymore, Trawick still represents Spears as her agent at William Morris.
