Inflation turns positive after 13 weeks

Mumbai, Sep 17 The country's annual rate of inflation turned positive, rising to 0.12 percent during the week ended on September 5, for the first tine in 13 weeks.
According to a Commerce and Industry Ministry release, the price rise stood at minus 0.12 per cent in the previous week.
The price index turned negative for the week ended June 6 for the first time since the new wholesale price index (WPI) series started in 1995.
Food items became dearer by 2.2 per cent, as meat prices rose exorbitantly by 16 per cent, fruit and vegetables by eight per cent, pork by five per cent and spices by three per cent.(ANI)
